New Year's Run 5K/10K/13.1 SACRAMENTO 2026

The race.

The New Year's Run 5K/10K/13.1 takes place in Sacramento on December 26, 2026, with four distance options: 1 mile, 5K, 10K, and 13.1 miles. Participants can choose from four wave start times beginning at 7:30 AM, with waves departing every 30 minutes. All ages and fitness levels are welcome to run or walk. Finishers receive a race bib, technical running shirt (shipped to a U.S. address), finisher's medal, towel or giveaway item, digital training pack, and online certificate of completion. Timing is optional and can be tracked via personal running apps or with coordinator assistance. Registration may be available up to two weeks before the race, though swag shirts may arrive after race day for late registrations. A virtual run option is available for participants who prefer to complete the distance at a time and location of their choice.
