The race.
The BIRR Hilo Bay 5K and 10K takes place on September 5, 2026, in Hilo, Hawaii. Both races start and finish at Reeds Bay on Banyan Drive at 7:30 a.m. Finishers receive t-shirts and medals, with awards given to overall and age group winners. Aid stations and snacks are provided on the course. Online registration closes September 3 at 1 p.m., with packet pickup and late registration available September 4 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Lili'uokalani Park/Coconut Island, and again on race morning until 7 a.m.
