Gainesville High School Cardinal 5K Run/Walk 2026

The race.

The Gainesville High School Cardinal 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, starting at 9:00 AM on the campus of Gainesville High School, with the race beginning at the football field. All ages are welcome to participate in the 5K distance; strollers are permitted but dogs are not. Registration costs $35 early bird (January 1–February 28), $40 general (March 1–May 22), $50 day-of, and $20 for those 18 and under. Packet pickup begins at 7:30 AM on race day. Finishers receive a complimentary 12oz Kona Ice, and those registered by May 3rd are guaranteed a race t-shirt; the first 100 finishers earn a customized Cardinal Finisher Medal. Awards are presented in overall male/female categories and by age group (Youth, Adult, Senior). Proceeds benefit the Gainesville High School PTSO.
