About the race
The race.
The GTC South Carolina Open & Masters Track & Field Classic takes place June 6, 2026, at Eastside High School in Taylors, SC. The meet features field events including hammer throw, weight throw, super weight throw, pole vault, long jump, and running events at 50m, 3000m, and 5000m on a rubberized asphalt track. The Open division includes athletes ages 18–29, while Masters competitors are grouped in five-year age brackets. Commemorative t-shirts are provided free to the first 100 registrants entering at least two events, with medals awarded to the top three finishers in each event across all age groups. The meet is USATF-sanctioned and serves as a South Carolina USATF Association Championship.
