About the race
The race.
The HOPE Challenge 5K, held June 6, 2026, in Pryor, Oklahoma, features a 5K race and 1-mile fun run organized by Cherokee Nation Public Health. The 5K begins at 8:30 a.m. and the fun run at 8:00 a.m., with race day registration from 7:00 to 7:50 a.m. at the Cherokee Nation ECU building. The top three male and female finishers in standard age groups receive medals, and finisher shirts are distributed after race completion while supplies last. Pre-registration is $20 for the 5K and $10 for the fun run. The event is USATF sanctioned with a certified course, and proceeds benefit the Mayes County HOPE Coalition.
