About the race

The race.

The Hot As Fire 5K Series runs on Tuesday evenings across 11 weeks from June 2 through August 11, 2026, at Josey Ranch Athletics Complex in Carrollton, TX. The 5K course is mostly paved with one grass hill and includes four water stops on course, plus water, snacks, and sports drinks at the start/finish area. Weekly medals are awarded to age group and overall winners, with series awards given to competitors who complete at least four races. Participants can register for individual races at $18.50 online or $20 cash, or register for the full series to receive a free shirt and save $3 per race. Age group divisions span from 0–9 through 80+, with separate masters categories for runners 40 and older. Monthly themed food nights such as watermelon and ice cream are featured throughout the series.
