The HY5 NorCal Hybrid Classic takes place July 18, 2026, in Lafayette, California. Participants compete in hybrid races combining running intervals with eight functional workout zones modeled after the HYROX format. Two distance options are available: Full Rox features eight 1-kilometer runs with full-volume workouts, while Half Rox offers eight 500-meter runs with reduced workout volume. Athletes can enter as individuals, doubles teams, mixed doubles, or 4-person relay squads across Pro and Open divisions. All races use ankle timing chip technology with officially recorded finish times and running splits. Finisher patches are awarded to all participants, and age group division winners receive podium flags. The event includes music, vendors, and community support throughout.
