About the race
The race.
The 45th Annual Lamar Free Fair Run takes place August 29, 2026, in Lamar, Missouri, benefiting the Lamar Chapter Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Participants can choose a 3.1-mile or 6.2-mile certified asphalt course that starts and finishes at the corner of 9th and Broadway, featuring mostly flat terrain with some moderate hills. The first 100 registrants receive a t-shirt, and chip timing with immediate results is available for both distances. Overall male and female winners receive awards, along with top-three medals for each age group by gender. Packet pickup begins at 6:30 a.m. on race day. A 5K walk also starts at race time, though walkers do not receive chip timing.
