On September 12, 2026, The Best Races hosts a 5K and 10K run in Chicago for National Chocolate Day. Participants choose from four wave start times beginning at 7:30 a.m., with coordinators supporting runners for three hours after the first wave. Registration is capped per wave on a first-come basis; a virtual option is available if in-person waves sell out. Finishers receive a race bib on race day, a technical running shirt shipped to their registered U.S. address before the event, a finisher's medal, a finisher's towel or giveaway item, a digital training pack, and an online certificate of completion. Timing is optional and can be tracked via personal app or coordinator assistance. An optional fundraising component donates $1 per post-race mile logged to partner charities.
