Veterans Day Freedom Run 5K/10K/13.1 CHICAGO/EVANSTON 2026

The race.

The Veterans Day Freedom Run takes place on November 14, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois, offering 5K and 10K distances. Participants can choose from three wave start times: 7:30 a.m., 8:00 a.m., or 8:30 a.m., with late arrivals accommodated for three hours after the first wave. All ages and paces are welcome to run or walk. Registration includes a tech running shirt (shipped to your address), finisher's medal, finisher's towel or giveaway, and a digital training pack with online results and certificate of completion. Race bibs are provided on race day with no packet pickup required. Optional timing allows runners to track times via apps or with coordinator assistance. Participants may raise funds for a charity of choice, with 100 percent of net proceeds directed to their selected cause.
