New River Trail Races 2026

The race.

The New River Trail Races offers four distances—100K, 50K, 25K, and 10K—on April 11, 2026, in Fries, VA. All courses are dirt and flat, following the New River and Chestnut Creek entirely within New River Trail State Park on out-and-back routes. The 100K starts at 4:00 am with an 8:00 pm cutoff; the 50K and 10K both start at 8:00 am and 8:30 am respectively with a 5:00 pm cutoff; the 25K starts at 9:00 am with a 5:00 pm cutoff. Early 7:30 am starts are available for 25K and 50K participants. The start line is located at 321 Firehouse Road, Fries, VA. 100K finishers receive a buckle. Race shirts are included for registrations received by April 1.
