The race.
The Oktoberfest Run 5K/10K takes place on September 26, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois, organized by The Best Races. Participants choose from four wave start times beginning at 7:30 a.m., with waves filling on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration includes a running t-shirt shipped to your address, finisher's medal, finisher's towel or giveaway, digital training pack, and online certificate of completion. Timing is optional and can be tracked via personal apps or with coordinator assistance. All paces and ages are welcome to run or walk; participants under 18 must have a guardian. A virtual run option is also available. Late registrations are accepted, though shirts may arrive after race day.
