About the race
The race.
The Raccoon Run takes place May 9, 2026, at Mantua Elementary School in Fairfax, VA. A 1-mile fun run starts at 8:00 a.m., followed by a 5K at 8:30 a.m. Registration is $40 for the 5K (through May 8) or $45 on race day, and $25 for the 1-mile run. Race packets are available for pickup Friday, May 8, from 5–7 p.m. and race morning starting at 7:00 a.m. at the school's main entrance. T-shirt guarantee requires registration by April 26. Awards go to overall male and female finishers and top-three finishers in ten age groups ranging from 10 and under to 80 and over. Refreshments are provided after both races. Proceeds benefit Life With Cancer, an INOVA Hospital program offering free support services to people with cancer and their families.
