Ride the Hurricane is a 36-mile round-trip cycling event held annually on the first Sunday in August in Port Angeles, WA. Riders start at sea level from Port Angeles City Pier and ascend Hurricane Ridge Road through Olympic National Park on a route closed to motor vehicles during the event. Registration includes entry to the ride, seven aid stations stocked with snacks, bike mechanic services, EMT coverage, and emergency radio support. Participants receive access to the After Party on the Pier, featuring food, draft beer, and refreshments. A special rate option is available via Leslie. Non-cycling guests may purchase separate tickets for the pier celebration.
