About the race

The race.

RTC members gather on Memorial Day, May 25th, 2026, at Robious Landing Park in Midlothian, VA, for a swim, bike ride, and social event. The open water swim runs from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. with a safety briefing at 8:00 a.m.; all swimmers must wear bright caps and swim buoys. The bike portion begins at 9:10 a.m. with an 18.8-mile out-and-back rural road route on Robious Road and Manakintown Ferry Road, with options for longer distances. Participants may volunteer as kayakers, SUP paddlers, or trailer drivers. The social and brunch follow from 10:30 a.m. to noon with food provided by the club. Online registration is required for all participants, including sign-off on the 2026 waiver for swimmers.
