The race.
RTC's Open Water Swim Season Kick Off takes place Monday, April 20, 2026, at Robious Landing Park in Midlothian, VA. Members only may register for swim distances of 1500 yards or 1 mile, or attend the pizza social without swimming. All swimmers depart at 6:05 p.m. from the dock. Swim safety buoys and bright caps are required; limited buoys and caps are available on a first-come basis. New open water swimmers may request a Swim Angel volunteer to accompany them. Participants must sign a 2026 waiver, sign in before swimming with emergency contact information, and sign out upon return.
