Run for Nicaragua 5K 2026

The race.

Run for Nicaragua 5K takes place May 16, 2026, in Yorktown, VA, organized by Crossroads Community Church. The event includes a competitively timed 5K starting at 8:30 a.m., a one-mile fun run (untimed) starting at 8:00 a.m., and a virtual 5K option. All 5K finishers receive a participant medal. Race packet pickup and late registration occur race day from 7:00–7:45 a.m. Participants who register by April 12, 2026, are guaranteed an event shirt; later registrations receive shirts on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration costs $30 through April 12, $35 through May 15, and $40 on race day for the 5K; the one-mile fun run is $10. The event benefits families in Nicaragua, with proceeds supporting home construction in the Carlos Fonseca Barrio. Refreshments and raffle prizes are available at the event.
