About the race
The race.
Santa Run & Walk 5K/2K takes place Saturday, December 19, 2026, in Crown Point, Indiana. Participants can choose between a timed 5K run or a non-timed 2K run/walk, both on city streets. Sign-in begins at 7 a.m., with the event starting at 8 a.m. at First United Methodist Hall, 352 S. Main Street. The first 300 registered participants receive finisher medals, and awards are given to top overall finishers and the top three finishers in each age group. After the race, participants enjoy hot cocoa, Christmas treats, and can visit with Santa. Packet pickup is available Friday, December 18th from 5–6 p.m. or Saturday morning at 7 a.m. Proceeds benefit local food pantries.
