About the race
The race.
The Sportspectrum Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving morning, November 26, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana. A half-mile fun run starts at 8:00 a.m. and a 3-mile run begins at 8:30 a.m., both starting and finishing at Stoner Boat Launch off Clyde Fant Parkway. Packet pickup is available at Sportspectrum (6970 Fern Ave.) from November 22–26, with race morning pickup at the race site from 7:30–8:20 a.m. The fun run entry fee is $15 and includes a long-sleeve race shirt for ages 10 and under. First-place overall finishers in each gender receive a turkey. Refreshments and music follow the race.
