About the race

The race.

The Sunset Scramble takes place April 11, 2026, at Fred G. Bond Metro Park in Cary, NC. Participants can register for 5K, 10K, 15K, 20K, 25K, 1-mile, kids in strollers, or exhibitor categories. All races use a single 5K loop course with staggered starts beginning at 5:00 PM; the course closes at 7:00 PM. Finishers in the 5K, 10K, and 15K receive a shirt and medal (guaranteed if registered by March 28). Lap split times are recorded for each 5K loop. Overall and age-group awards are available, with a $10 gift code offered for new course records. Race day registration is available on-site.
