The race.

This multi-sport event held August 30, 2026, at Settlers Cabin Wave Pool & Park in Pittsburgh combines a 500-meter swim in a 50-meter pool with a 5-kilometer trail run through wooded terrain. Participants compete individually, as relay teams (one swimmer, one runner), or in the run-only category. Heats begin at 7:30 a.m. with electronic timing chips recording split times across swim, transition, and run segments. The event welcomes athletes of all ages and skill levels, with lifeguards stationed during swimming and water stations along the run course. Spectators may view the race at designated areas. Proceeds benefit Steel City Aquatics, a local nonprofit organization.
