About the race

The race.

This members-only open water swim takes place Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Robious Landing Park in Midlothian, VA, with swim distances of 1 mile and 1500 yards. All swimmers depart at 6:05 p.m. from the dock in waves of up to 20 participants. Required safety equipment includes a swim safety buoy and bright swim cap. New open water swimmers may request a Swim Angel volunteer to accompany them. All participants must sign a 2025 waiver during online registration or at check-in, and must sign in and out of the log book with an emergency contact name and phone number. A safety briefing is held before swimming begins.
