The race.
The Great Bear: 5K Run and 2-Mile Walk takes place on October 3, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, benefiting the San Antonio AIDS Foundation. Participants can register for a 5K run, 2-mile walk, or team entry (10 or more runners at a reduced rate). Registration fees range from $25 to $40 depending on entry type and registration timing, with same-day registration available starting at 7:30 AM. The 2-mile walk begins at 8:30 AM and the 5K run starts at 9:00 AM, with packet pickup at Martin Luther King Park from 7:30 to 8:30 AM on race morning. Participants can also purchase sponsored youth registrations to support LGBTQ youth participation through Thrive Youth Center.
