The race.
Thornton Turkey Trot takes place in Glenwood, Illinois on November 26, 2026. The event features a 5K (3.1 miles) starting at 9:30 AM, a 1-mile kids run and community walk at 9:00 AM, and a 1.5-mile option. Packet pickup is available November 25th from noon to 6 PM at Running for Kicks, with additional pickup on race morning at 8:00 AM. All finishers receive a medal, and awards are given to top three finishers in ten age divisions. Proceeds benefit the Winged Foot Foundation, which supports student athletes in the Chicago area through equipment and academic programs.
