About the race
The race.
Thunder Road Gravel Tour is a four-ride series across central Illinois from May through August 2026, with events in Cuba (May 23), Petersburg (June 13), Winchester (July 11), and a fourth location in the Riverton area (August 9). Each ride offers approximately 30- and 60-mile gravel route options with a convenience store stop midway. Registration through BikeSignup.com is free but mandatory for those competing in points-based segments, where riders can earn rankings by posting their best times on Strava. Rides are self-supported with no SAG service. After each ride, participants are invited to gather at a local brewery, bar, or restaurant. Men's and women's leaderboards will track competitive segment performance.
