The race.

The Tunnel to Towers Climb takes place September 12, 2026, in Chicago at 150 North Riverside Drive. Participants climb stairs to the 50th floor in a timed event, with timing chips attached to bibs recording finish times. Registration packet pickup occurs in the week before the event and on race morning starting at 6:45 a.m. in the adjacent park. The opening ceremony begins at 8:00 a.m., with the first wave starting at 8:30 a.m. and subsequent waves staggered throughout the morning. Water stations are available at the start and finish areas. Medical assistance is available on-site, and participants may take a second untimed climb after the initial timed ascent if time permits.
