About the race
The race.
The Washington Street Church of God Annual Family Fun Walk/Run & Health Fair takes place September 19, 2026, at Marquette Park in Gary, Indiana. Participants can choose from three distances: 5 miles, 2.5 miles, or 1.25 miles. Check-in and packet pickup begin at 7:00 a.m., with the race starting at 8:00 a.m. The course includes both paved surfaces and trails. Finishers in each distance category receive special awards. A complimentary light breakfast and brunch are provided. Proceeds support the renovation of the Northwest Indiana Friendship House.
