About the race.
The Next Loop at Cliff Cave Park uses a scenic 3.1-mile (5K) trail loop with a central start/finish and aid access every lap. A new loop starts every hour on the hour from 7:00 AM through the tenth and final loop at 4:00 PM; the event concludes at 5:00 PM. Athletes decide after each loop whether to continue, with no penalty or DNF for stopping. Every completed loop counts, and results combine the recorded time from each completed loop. Distances are recognized at 5K, 10K, 20K, 30K, 40K, and 50K.
