Registering for a race

Changing, transferring, or cancelling your entry

What you can edit yourself, and what only your race organizer can do.

What can I change myself?

You can edit your participant details from your registrations in your account: your contact details, emergency contact, and the extras your organizer asked for, like shirt size.

Two limits apply. Only confirmed entries can be edited, and editing closes at the organizer's registration cutoff. After that the roster is locked so bib assignment and results are not shifting under the organizer on race week.

Can I change my distance?

Not from your side. Moving between distances changes what you paid and what capacity you occupy, so your organizer handles it. Ask them using the support email on the race page.

Can I give my entry to someone else?

Sometimes. Transfers are run by your organizer, and whether they allow them is their policy. If they do, they transfer the entry to the new runner from their dashboard, and that runner's own details replace yours. Do not just hand over your bib: the results, the emergency contact, and the photo matching all stay attached to your name.

How do I cancel and get a refund?

Refunds follow your organizer's policy and are issued by them, not by PodiumBase. Contact them using the support email on the race page. If they offer deferrals instead, see deferring your entry.
