Registering a child or minor for a race
Entering someone under 18, the parent or guardian details required, and how their photos are handled.
How do I enter my child in a race?
Register them as you would yourself, with their name, date of birth, and gender. When the date of birth makes them a minor, registration asks for a parent or guardian name and your relationship to the runner, and the waiver is signed by you rather than by them.
Age minimums are set by the organizer and vary by distance. If a distance has a minimum your child does not meet, it will not be selectable.
Whose contact details go on the entry?
Yours. The email and phone on a minor's entry should be a parent or guardian's, because that is where the confirmation, packet pickup details, and any race-day contact go. The emergency contact should be someone who is not running.
How are a minor's race photos handled?
Selfie search is not available to anyone under 18. An account recorded as a minor cannot enrol a selfie, so no face data is created for them and face matching is not how their photos are found. Their photos are found by bib number instead.

If you see a photo of your child you want taken down, contact the race organizer using the support email on the race page. Organizers can remove photos from their own event.
Can I register my child and myself together?
Yes, where the race offers group registration. Add each runner in turn, including yourself, and pay once. See registering a group.
