Choosing your photographer tier
Pro and Community earn the same rate; the difference is price band, verification, and matching.
Same rate, different access
Both photographer tiers earn the same 60% commission. The tier does not change your cut. What changes is the price band your photos sell at, how you are verified, and how photos are matched.
Community
Community is the tier you can start on today with no verification. Your photos sell around $3.99 each, you get visible attribution, photos are matched by bib number, and you are paid out through Stripe Connect. It is a good way to start shooting right away.
Pro
Pro is the reviewed tier. Photos sell in a higher band, around $14.99 to $24.99, and you get bib and face matching, a priority moderation queue, and the ability for race directors to assign you to their events. Pro requires an ID and portfolio review that takes about five to seven days. See Applying for Verified Pro.
Which to pick
Start on Community if you want to shoot now and build up. Apply for Pro when you want the higher price band, face matching, and to be hired directly by race directors. You keep full copyright of your work on either tier.
