How to get told when photos from your race go up

When there is nothing to search yet

Not every race has been covered, and a race that will be covered is not always covered on the day you go looking. Rather than checking back, you can ask us to watch the race for you.

On the race page, look for the Get notified card. Enter your email, tick the box to request photo updates for this race only (not marketing), and submit it. That is the whole form.

Confirm it, or nothing sends

We email you a message titled Confirm your photo request. Open it, follow the link, and press the confirm button on the page that opens.

The extra button matters. Mail scanners at workplaces and large providers open every link in an incoming message automatically, so a link on its own is not proof that a person asked for anything. Making you press a button is what keeps someone else from signing your address up. Your confirmation link stays good for 30 days.

Until you confirm, we will not send photo-update emails about the race.

What arrives, and when

If eligible published coverage becomes available for this race, we may email you a link. The photo update is only about this race; it is not a newsletter. A “Remove my data” link in a photo-request email opens a confirmation page; submitting it deletes all photo requests for your email address across races. Separate photo-ready opt-in emails include a “Stop updates for this race” link.

What this is not

This is a request, not a booking. It tells us runners want photos from that race, and it is genuinely useful for that, but it cannot make coverage happen. If no photographer ends up shooting the race, no photo-update email goes out, because there would be nothing to send you.
