How to get told when photos from your race go up

When there is nothing to search yet

Not every race has been covered, and a race that will be covered is not always covered on the day you go looking. Rather than checking back, you can ask us to watch the race for you.

On the race page, look for the Get notified card. Enter your email, tick the box to say we can contact you about this race, and submit it. That is the whole form.

Confirm it, or nothing sends

We email you a message titled Confirm your photo request. Open it, follow the link, and press the confirm button on the page that opens.

The extra button matters. Mail scanners at workplaces and large providers open every link in an incoming message automatically, so a link on its own is not proof that a person asked for anything. Making you press a button is what keeps someone else from signing your address up. Your confirmation link stays good for 30 days.

Until you confirm, your request sits there and no mail will ever be sent to you.

What arrives, and when

If a photographer covers the race and your photos are matched, you get one email with a link to them. One email, for that race. There is no newsletter attached to this and every message carries an unsubscribe link.

What this is not

This is a request, not a booking. It tells us runners want photos from that race, and it is genuinely useful for that, but it cannot make coverage happen. If no photographer ends up shooting the race, no email goes out, because there would be nothing to send you.
