My race photos are not showing up

Why your photos may be missing, including when a count says you have photos but none appear.

Why does it say I have photos when none are showing?

That gap means matching found you but the photos are not yet released to you. Usually one of these applies:

  • The organizer has not published the gallery yet. Photos are matched as they upload, but they only become visible when the organizer releases them.
  • The photos are still being processed. Full-size versions and watermarked previews are generated after matching, so a count can appear before the images do.
  • They are in a different place than you are looking. Check your account as well as the race page, since a photo matched to your face appears in your gallery even if you never searched that race.

If a count has been sitting there for more than a day, that is not normal. Contact us with your race and bib number and we will look at the specific matches.

Why do I have no photos at all?

Work through these in order:

  1. Check the race is covered. Not every race has a photographer. The race page says whether coverage happened.
  2. Check the timing. Photos arrive within hours of the finish, not minutes. Matching runs after the photographer uploads.
  3. Check how you are searching. If you searched by bib, try selfie search, and the other way round. A photo where your bib is hidden by another runner will only be found by face.
  4. Check the right race. If you ran several events, make sure you are looking at the one you mean.

Why do some of my photos never appear?

Matching is not perfect and it is honest about that. A photo can be missed when your bib is obscured, your face is turned away or in deep shadow, or you are small in the frame. Selfie search catches many of the ones bib search misses, which is why using both is worth it.

What if none of this fixed it?

Ask the help assistant on this page, or contact us with your race name, your bib number, and roughly when you finished. Those three things let us trace your specific matches.

Try again at find your race photos, or check coverage in the race directory.
