About the race

The race.

The Eden Prairie Optimist Club hosts its 5K walk and run on Saturday, June 27, 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m. at Purgatory Creek Park Pavilion (13001 Technology Drive, Eden Prairie, MN). A 1-mile option is also available at the same start time with guides along the trail. The event features awards and prizes, with proceeds supporting Optimist community programs including a School Safety Patrol trip to Valleyfair, essay and oratorical contests, and youth appreciation initiatives. Early bird registration pricing is available. Music and an anthem are part of the morning's activities.
