About the race

The race.

The Global Fitness & Charity Challenge hosts a virtual 5K on July 4th, 2026, allowing participants to run, walk, jog, or hike on their chosen route anytime around the holiday. Registration includes an official race bib, a personalized commemorative T-shirt with the participant's name and hometown printed on the back alongside other finishers' results, and a digital finisher medal. Participants can complete the distance anywhere—local routes, neighborhood streets, treadmills, tracks, or vacation destinations—and may submit their own official race time from a local July 4th event if already participating in one. Those who submit results will have their finish time printed on the commemorative shirt; participation is optional for those preferring not to submit a time. Shirts are produced and mailed to participants after results are collected.
