About the race
The race.
The 20th Annual Run for Riley offers a 5-mile chip-timed race and a 5K event on October 4, 2026, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Both races start at Maple Creek Middle School and use the paved trails of the Fort Wayne Greenway, with separate courses for each distance that converge on the school track for the finish. Packet pickup is available on Saturday, October 3 from noon to 2:30 p.m. at Fleet Feet North on Dupont Road, or on race day beginning at 11 a.m. in the school cafeteria. Five-mile finishers receive awards presented in the school cafeteria following the race, along with refreshments. A silent auction benefits Riley Children's Hospital, with proceeds going directly to the Riley Foundation.
