The Appleseeds Summer Running Program is an 8-week running club for children in grades K–12, operating in Fort Wayne, IN. Practices meet Mondays and Wednesdays starting June 8, 2026, at Shoaff Park, with two sessions: 5:00–5:45 p.m. for elementary-aged children (age 10 and under) and 6:00–7:00 p.m. for middle and high school participants (age 11+). The program includes three races: a track meet on June 25 at New Haven High School, a cross country race on July 17 at Dekalb HS offering 1-mile and 4K options, and a road race on July 18 at Pufferbelly Run, Walk, Stroll with 1-mile and 5K options. Participants receive an Asics team singlet, Appleseeds t-shirt, a discount on running shoes, and entries to all three races. Coaching, twice-weekly practices, and a focus on fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship round out the program. Contact Lynn Marbach, club director, at Lynn@3riversrunning.com with questions.
