About the race
The race.
The Athens Lions Club hosts the Moo Run 5K and 1 Mile Fun Walk on June 6, 2026, at Eureka Rails to Trails in Athens, Tennessee. Participants can choose between a 3.1-mile timed run, a 1-mile fun walk, or a 4-mile run option on a crushed stone trail following an old railroad bed. Check-in opens at 6:30 a.m. with the race starting at 7:30 a.m. at the Eureka Trailhead parking area located at 1400 E Madison Avenue. Runners registering by May 21, 2026, receive a t-shirt at packet pickup the morning of the race. Proceeds benefit local Lions Sight Programs and community services.
