The race.

The Blue Sky Ascent & Round Trip takes place on June 28, 2026, starting from Echo Lake near Idaho Springs, Colorado at 10,600 feet elevation. The 14.5-mile Ascent option is a one-way course climbing approximately 4,000 vertical feet to the summit of Mt. Blue Sky (14,264 feet), with much of the route above treeline. The Round Trip option covers the same distance up and back down. Two race distances are available to accommodate different runner preferences.
