The race.
The Brave like Ellie Warrior Walk and Run takes place September 12, 2026, at Getzendaner Park in Waxahachie, Texas. Participants can choose from a 1-mile walk, 5K, or 10K run on park trails. Registration opens at 9:00 a.m., with a welcome at 9:30 a.m. and races starting at 9:45 a.m. Proceeds support Brave like Ellie, which provides boxes to children with cancer and raises childhood cancer awareness. Finishers who register by August 10 are guaranteed a race shirt.
