CASA of Wise & Jack Counties hosts The Great Decatur Dash and Bash on October 17, 2026, in downtown Decatur, Texas. The event features a 5K race and a youth untimed 5K, both starting at 9:00 a.m. Check-in runs from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m., with announcements at 8:30 a.m. The race is chip-timed, and medals are awarded to overall male and female winners, top youth male and female finishers, and three runners in each age division (9 and under through 70 and over, separated by gender). Race shirts are guaranteed to those who register by September 23. Registration costs $30 through October 3 and $40 after that date; children under 12 run free but may add a shirt or chip timing for an additional fee. All proceeds benefit CASA's work supporting children in the foster care system.
