Chillin' to the Bare Bones Ice Cream 5K & Fun Run - Presented by Cathy Griffin, Century 21 Towne & Country 2026

Salisbury Rowan Runners hosts this race on May 23, 2026, at Overton Elementary School in Salisbury, NC. Participants can register for a half-mile fun run, 5K, 5-mile run, or virtual 5K option. The half-mile fun run follows an out-and-back greenway route, while the 5K begins at the school's second driveway and loops through neighborhood streets and greenway trails. All 5K and fun run participants receive a complimentary ice cream from Aqua14 Ice Cream truck (sponsored by Novant Health Rowan) and a dry-fit t-shirt. Awards are given to the top three overall finishers and top three in each age group (10 & Under through 70 & Over) for the 5K, and top three overall for the fun run. Packet pickup and race-day registration occur from 7:30 to 8:25 a.m. Proceeds benefit Relay for Life, and donated shoes go to Rowan Helping Ministries.
