Freed to Run Challenge 2026

The race.

The Freed to Run Challenge takes place October 3, 2026, in Jacksonville, FL at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center, featuring three 5K distance options: a standard 5K, a 5K Evening race, and a 5K Ultra that spans 10 consecutive hours (50K total, with participants starting each loop at the top of the hour). The course follows a 5K out-and-back loop on an asphalt trail at Cecil Field Recreational Trail. All participants receive custom medals and shirts; awards go to overall top 3 finishers in each event and distance, plus age group awards (top 3) for the 5K distances. A 12-hour relay option accommodates teams of 4–6 runners with flexible loop assignments. Proceeds benefit Shelter for Elders, supporting civil legal aid services for indigent seniors in Northeast Florida.
