The race.
The Freedom Run takes place on July 4, 2026, in De Forest, Wisconsin, offering a 1-mile run/walk, 5K run/walk, 10K run, and virtual 5K and 10K options. Online registration closes July 1 at noon. In-person packet pickup and registration are available July 2 from 4:00–6:00 p.m. and July 3 from 3:00–6:00 p.m. at De Forest High School stadium entrance, with day-of-race registration also offered. Participants receive t-shirts while supplies last (guaranteed through June 19). Race proceeds support the De Forest Area Needs Network and De Forest Area High School track and cross country programs.
