The race.

Hot Mess Trail Races takes place October 24, 2026 at Parvin State Park in Pittsgrove, NJ, with five race options: a half marathon (13.1 miles), a six-hour ultra where runners complete multiple 4-mile laps, and shorter distances of 3.95, 5.6, and 8.7 miles. The half marathon starts and finishes at Danna Farm Fields, following a lollipop-style loop with aid stations near miles 3.5 and 8.5. The six-hour ultra uses a 4-mile loop with aid available only at the start/finish area. The course is approximately 95 percent trail featuring single-track, sand, and roots on mostly flat terrain. This is a cupless, carry-in carry-out event; runners must bring their own cup and dispose of all trash at the start/finish line only.
