About the race

The race.

The Laguna Madre Splash and Dash is a youth aquathon held in Port Isabel, Texas on June 20, 2026. Participants compete in age categories from 7 to 16 years old. Younger competitors (ages 7–10) complete a 100-meter swim followed by a 1000-meter run, while older participants (ages 11–16) swim 200 meters and run 1500 meters. The swimming portion takes place at Port Isabel Derry pool, with the running course on closed neighborhood streets.
