MiCHN 5K & 1-mile run/walk 2026

The race.

MiCHN hosts a 5K and 1-mile run/walk fundraiser on October 13, 2026, at the Michigan State Capitol Complex in Lansing. The 5K run begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by a 1-mile walk at 10:30 a.m.; both events use paved paths and concrete sidewalks on the Capitol grounds, with the 5K covering a 3-loop course. Registration fees vary by age group and deadline, ranging from free for children under 5 to $45 for adults registering after October 1st, with t-shirts included for registrations completed by September 30th. Age-based awards are presented for the 5K across male, female, and master categories, while 1-mile awards go to top finishers in youth age groups. Results are professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation and texted to participants at the finish line.
