The race.
The Pavement Pounders 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run takes place May 9, 2026, in Jamestown, TN. Participants can choose between a 3.1-mile course or a 1-mile option, both starting at York Institute and traveling south to York Elementary School before returning. The route is flat. Registration costs $20 through April 30th, increasing to $30 from May 1st onward. Bib pickup occurs on race morning. Proceeds benefit the YAI Hope Club and York High School Bowling team. Racers who register by May 3rd receive a shirt; those registering after that date do not. Age group awards are given to first place overall and top three finishers in categories ranging from under 12 through 71 and older for both males and females.
