Pier to Cove Swim - La Jolla, CA 2026

The race.

Swimmers navigate a 1.5-mile course from Scripps Pier to La Jolla Cove on June 28, 2026. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. at Kellogg Park's north end in La Jolla Shores, with the swim starting at 9:00 a.m. from the north side of Scripps Pier. A 90-minute time limit applies, with San Diego Lifeguards providing water-based safety coverage. Finishers receive awards for top overall male and female "Regulation" swimmers and age group winners, plus breakfast from Duke's of La Jolla and participant swag. The event accommodates both regulation swimmers (neoprene caps only) and non-regulation swimmers (wetsuits and fins permitted), with approval required for swimmers under 18 and a recommended minimum age of 16. Registration is capped at 325 swimmers.
