Popcorn Panic 5M Run & 5K Run/Walk 2026

The race.

The 48th annual Popcorn Panic takes place September 12, 2026, in Valparaiso, Indiana, offering a 5-mile run and 5K run/walk on city streets. Participants can compete individually or in teams of at least four finishers. Registration closes August 14 to guarantee a race shirt; fees increase to $40 after August 17, with same-day registration at $45. Packet pickup is available September 9–10 at Extra Mile Fitness Company, September 11 at Butterfield Pavilion (3:30–5:30 p.m.), or race morning starting at 6:30 a.m. Awards include overall male and female champions for the 5-mile race, masters categories, and age-group plaques across 16 age divisions; top three finishers in each category receive recognition.
